Hi! My name is Ellen. I am a wife, a mother of two grown sons, a retired elementary school teacher, and a lover of historic homes and their crown molding!

It all began years ago with the movie, Gone With the Wind. I became enamored with historic homes and their ornate crown molding. This led to many vacations over the years, touring historic homes. I dreamed of owning a home with all the intricate crown molding.

Then I came to a realization. I could add a lot of the beauty of crown molding to my house on my own. All I needed was inspiration, tools, materials, and instructions. I bought myself a mitre saw and then began the journey that has led me to start this blog. I wanted to share some of the ideas that I have incorporated into my home, in hopes that you too can embellish!
