Add Furniture Bun Feet to Kitchen Cabinets

Add some pizazz to your kitchen cabinets with furniture bun feet.

I recently had my kitchen cabinets professionally repainted. Fortunately, the painter left me some of the base paint and stain. Now it was time to add the bun feet.

You can buy the bun feet at home improvement stores or online. The feet I chose were priced at about $3.00 a piece. After painting and staining, I removed the screw with pliers (just to be safe when cutting). I measured the height from floor to cabinet bottom and marked the height with a pencil.

I cut the foot to the appropriate size with my mitre saw. If you don’t have a mitre saw, I highly recommend you get one. They are easy to use, not terribly expensive, and they save time and energy. I often cut the piece a bit larger than I marked, just to be safe. I then can go back and make more cuts to get the perfect size.

After the cut, you are ready to add the foot to your cabinets. There are a variety of ways you can attach the feet. I chose to use a wood glue.

You can see the cabinets before the addition of bun feet. I added feet at the corners of cabinets, and where the cabinets and pantry are connected. You can add the feet wherever you want. My cabinets now have the feel of furniture!
